About Me
Sage Nicholson is a public relations major at The University of Oregon pursuing a career in crisis communications and media relations. Nicholson is obtaining a minor in Spanish and hopes to be able to incorporate that into her future career.
Nicholson was able to combine her love for baseball and public relations as a communications intern for The Portland Pickles, a summer wood-bat collegiate baseball team, in the summer of 2016. Through this internship, she was the primary contact for the team’s sponsors, developed media releases, planned promotional events, and managed team social media.
Nicholson served as the Public Relations Vice President of Nu Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta for the 2016-2017 school year. While Public Relations Vice President, Nicholson oversaw chapter social media accounts, planned and executed fundraising events, and oversaw communication between the chapter, the alumnae, and the general public.
