Dr. Michael Nelson
Mike was a Postdoctoral Research associate in the Geography department whose research at the University of Oregon focused on the influences of climate change and anthropogenic forces on the spatial spread of an invasive plant pathogen (Phytophghora ramorum). In his previous research, he utilized a variety of empirical and modeling approaches to study the population genetics, drought tolerance, and spatial spread of the invasive plant Phalaris arundinacea.
