Carolyn Fish Awarded NCAR Grant
Assistant Professor Carolyn Fish was recently awarded the NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) Innovators Program Grant. Fish and incoming graduate student Michala Garrison will spend the next two summers working in Boulder, Colorado with NCAR scientists and a cohort of eight other early-career faculty to conduct research on the impacts of climate change and natural hazards to U.S. coasts. Fish is embarking on a new project designed to explore how map design can help build empathy for coastal indigenous communities in the Alaskan Arctic.
