Luke describes Paul that can be found in ch 13-28 is that he stands up for himself and defends himself to prove his innocence and to be released. He faces many adversities and during chapter 28 while he is waiting for his trial he gives his speech of apology, which emphasizes his support to the Jewish community, his innocence and his connection to his faith as a Jewish Christian. Paul remains consistent throughout the Acts and remains true to his faith. His description and experiences are able to support the Christian mission, which will thrive under divine guidance because Paul is an example that he didn’t give up or compromise practicing Judaism in order to hold his belief in Jesus.

Luke’s story of Paul is able to provide further evidence for Christian “innocence” because Paul is faced with years of being challenged of his innocence and through it all comes out as innocent, but he never fell astray from his faith and beliefs. I believe he choose to emphasize this theme to give his audience an example of how the Christian movement should follow the lead of Paul and his strength to remain connected to his faith and no matter the adversity faced, always stand up for your own beliefs.
