The first TED video on “saving the shoes,” led me to question my definition of leadership. I don’t see how an act of kindness amounts to leadership. Maybe I missed the point, but I view that as common courtesy, like paying attention to a person talking to me. Put another way, I call it practicing “presence,” or living in the moment to honor others. Now Alice Coles of Bayview, she fits my idea of leadership. Wow, that was a powerful story.
