A political action committee (PAC) is a type of organization that pools campaign contributions from members and donates those funds to campaign for or against candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation.

Education is important in life because it gives people the skills and tools they need to navigate the world. Without education, people would not be able to read, write, calculate or communicate; they would also not be able to perform jobs competently, accurately and safely. Education also teaches people about the world in which they live, including information about history, philosophy and culture.
What is Oregon’s current funding system?
Oregon schools get most of their money through a formula that delivers a base amount each year for every student, with extra allocations for high needs students, including special education students, English-language learners and students in poverty. Local taxes, mostly property taxes, are mixed with the state money, then distributed on a per-student basis statewide.
