At Safehaven Humane Society, not only do they take pride in being a no-kill shelter but also in their engagement with the community and youth to promote compassion towards animals. They are firm believers in educating the public on why animal welfare and overpopulation are important issues that every human being should care about. Safehaven Humane Society is savings the lives of hundreds of animals each year while teaching the next generation to do the same. Through their outreach and collaboration with other rescues, they are constantly being able to rescue animals who are being put down on euthanasia lists in  Hawaii, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
