Thanks for visiting Outside the Academic Box: Careers After Your Doctorate. We made this site to support a new seminar series aimed at bringing speakers to campus who pursued a diverse array of careers after completing doctorates. We hope to reach students from many disciplines with interesting speakers who have unique perspectives on career development based on their own experiences.
This series is made possible with the generous support of the UO Graduate School through an Innovations in Graduate Education grant. We are also working closely with organizations like Career Advancement in the Biological Sciences (CABS), Women in Graduate Science and the UO Postdoctoral Association to get the word out and to identify potential speakers. We would love to hear from potential partners in the Social Sciences and Humanities as well.
