October 25th, 2017. UO Department of Dance students gather around Vincent Mantsoe at the end of his African dance class as he thanks them for their hard work. Mantsoe (center) says that his work is not necessarily about achieving the movement, but more just about dedicating oneself to try.

Rita Honka is a professor of dance at the University of Oregon who teaches African, Modern and Somatics.  Here I was fortunate to speak with Rita and learn about her history with dance and what dance means to her.
