Fire Back: Holistic Land Stewardship and Cultivating Community* in the EMU Redwood Auditorium

with Jessica Angel, Jae Viles, and Dean Bravo

Indigenous communities find themselves on the frontlines of the climate crisis. After almost two centuries of fire suppression the implementation of good fire as a tool for climate resilience and a return to indigenous land stewardship is the only way forward. We will discuss what this work looks like as well as some of the challenges many indigenous fire practitioners face.
