Simone Piper’s work supporting children and families began in 2008 during an internship with the Y’s Care Children’s Program at YWCA Clark County in Vancouver, Washington. She developed an interest in research and evaluation during her undergraduate studies at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and joined the staff at the Oregon Social Learning Center in 2009, providing research support to the Kids in Transition to School program. Simone moved to Eugene in 2010 to begin graduate school at University of Oregon, where she earned a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology in 2012. In 2014, she started a position in data management with the UO Center for Translational Neuroscience.

Simone joined 90by30 and the Center for the Prevention of Abuse and Neglect in June 2016 as a volunteer and transitioned to staff later that fall. Currently, she is supporting the research of the Oregon Prevalence Study and the Stewards of Children evaluation project.
