Emla Solaita is working on a Bachelor’s degree in the College of Education’s Family and Human Services Program. She is from the islands of American Samoa, a United States territory, and was raised within the village of Nu’uuli and Vaitogi. She came to the University of Oregon for a quality education and to pursue a career in helping families and children in low-income communities. She is eager help wherever and whomever she can.
