Angela was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, and received her undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Oregon. In 2010, she finished her Master’s in Counseling from George Fox University and has also trained at the Northwest Center for play therapy. She began her counseling work at Christians As Family Advocates (CAFA) in Eugene nearly 11 years ago.
In the last few years, her passion shifted from individual work to program development around child abuse prevention. In 2014, CAFA began the process of bringing the national program Safe Families for Children to Lane County. Angela helped develop the infrastructure for this program and is now the director for the local chapter. She is passionate about serving vulnerable families and children, as well as training, energizing and mobilizing volunteers to multiply the capacity for change.
Outside of work, Angela can be found chasing her preschooler around, doing yardwork, hanging out with friends, or at her Crossfit gym.
