Cynthia Nagao has a long history of serving youth and families in Hawaii and Oregon. She has served in a variety of roles, including Site Coordinator for CAFA’s Supervised Visitation Program, Board Member and Youth Leader for Life Church in Thurston, Co-Founder of Y.W.E. (Young Women Empowerment) program, and Treatment Foster Parent through OCP. She also spearheaded several fundraising and community events for youth and families in need.

She was born and raised in Hawaii and moved to the Springfield/Eugene area in 2006 to attend New Hope Christian University. Prior to this shift, she spent over 15 years in hospitality and hotel management. Cynthia was first introduced to 90by30 when attending the annual conference in 2014. She currently serves as the Family Resource Coordinator at Hamlin Middle School, the Co-Chair of the 90by30 Springfield Regional Leadership Team, and Director of Thurston Life Foundation. Cynthia actively serves in the 90by30 Parent Café workgroup striving to establish parent cafés throughout Lane County. She has been the driving force behind multiple key initiatives such as Student Voice, HMS Career Fair, Game of Life, and a variety of mentoring programs.

Cynthia is committed to building strong community partnerships that support youth and families throughout the year. A few notable partnerships include FOOD for Lane County, the Springfield Rotary Club, as well as the Springfield Faith Center. These are just a few among her growing list of partnerships forged to meet the needs of youth and families.

In her free time, you might find her at the coast, walking her dogs, tackling her latest DIY project, traveling, or spending quality time with friends or family.
