Course description: J480/580 is a special topics course on the strategic use of social media in public relations. This conceptual course is built on a basic foundation of how to use social media tools (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) with the goal of understanding the who, what, where, when, why, and how of social media for the purpose of building, managing, and repairing stakeholder relationships. The final project consists of developing a strategic social media plan.
