POSITION DETAILS
– Lead all aspects of video production, including pre- and post-production work
– Work with executives, faculty and staff to drive content planning and creative concept strategies for compelling storytelling
– Assist CCO with developing College’s brand
– Manage video production staff and interns, as well as resources and workflows; coach, guide and empower team towards achieving goals
– Develop successful strategies to jj_tower2promote the College’s strengths, faculty expertise, student success; maintain and enhance the College’s YouTube channel
– Identify proactive ways to pitch faculty expertise and student stories to broadcast media producers through video and multimedia resources
– Work collaboratively with campus clients and colleagues
– Manage projects, assignments, schedules and calendars to ensure that all work sets high quality standards, is timely and within budget, and is consistent with the College’s brand
– Manage studio, production equipment and digital storage, as well as digitization of archival assets
– Oversee video production operations, ensure efficient processes, manage budget and resources; monitor results and make recommendations for improvements
– Stay current on creative and technical trends to bring in innovative ideas and fresh concepts, and continually enhance video production and broadcast media dissemination

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • six years’ related experience
  • expert knowledge of video production, pre- and post-production techniques
  • deep experience with editing systems and processes
  • excellent skills with studio and field shooting with HD cameras and related gear
  • be adaptable and a quick learner, with up-to-date knowledge of video production trends, tools
  • experience leading content strategy and development
  • proven ability to produce compelling/award-winning videos
  • possess creative talent, eye for detail, technical know-how, strong conceptual, editorial and script-writing skills
  • strong project/time management, leadership and organizational skills
  • experience in deadline-driven, high profile news production environment is preferred
  • broad network of relationships and connections with broadcast media producers is valued
  • familiarity with higher education, recruitment, alumni outreach and student engagement is a plus
  • be a passionate and enthusiastic advocate for justice and serve as an ambassador for high quality video storytelling.
