The Resilient Networks to Support Inclusive Digital Humanities is a Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant funded project which will address the challenge of providing diverse perspectives, shared pedagogical approaches, and partnerships between librarians, students, and scholars to advance digital humanities scholarship between the George Washington University, Davidson College, Rice University, and Prairie View A&M University. This two-year project will establish a network of institutions to share and build expertise in and support for digital humanities instruction and research.
Position Details:
- manages and actively participates in all aspects of the Resilient Networks to support inclusive Digital Humanities grant across the four institutions
- organizes all project activities
- provides day-to-day oversight of the activities at all partner sights
- plans and manages digital humanities curriculum, training, and participation in digital humanities research projects developed through the course of the grant
- work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and senior leaders at each institution to review these projects, to develop timelines, milestones, and completion dates
- oversee the progress to ensure completion, and develops strategies to resolve any issues or obstacles
- actively contributes to research projects by serving as an active project participant, leveraging their area of expertise within the digital humanities field
- work with faculty members and students to apply computational techniques to discover new research findings
- provides coordination, advising, and instruction as needed for students and faculty for the Resilient Networks curriculum and research projects
- stay current with technology, scholarship, and other issues impacting digital humanities
- considerable travel required to partner sites.

Qualifications:
- Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization
- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Preferred:
- Masters degree in humanities
- level of expertise within the digital humanities field
- previous experience working on a major digital humanities project or employment or research work in a digital humanities program or center
- 3-5 years project management experience, including experience planning and managing large-scale projects with the ability to meet deadlines
- experience with grant writing, reporting, and budgetary management
