Laura Trujillo is a cellist mainly interested in the field of historically informed performance practice. She is currently a Ph.D. student in musicology at the University of Oregon. Before her arrival in the U.S., she developed her career simultaneously as a performer and teacher in Spain, Belgium, and France. While her experience has primarily focused on working with early music ensembles, she also enjoys the fields of folk and symphonic orchestral performance. Laura is especially interested in music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and is attracted in particular to different aspects related to bass string instruments and Hispanic repertoires. She looks forward to strengthening the relationship between scholarship and performance, while looking for different ways of connecting with the audience.
