Today in class I think we mostly went over having strong oral presentation because we had to present our pitch in front of the class which I believe that I still need to work on because I was too nervous to go up as a front runner. We also needed a global mindset for that assignment because we had to think up some ideas in order to explain why we want that certain group project. And to win over the mentors we had to think of creative ideas which is where the “global mindset” comes in because we have to think outside the box. I think I have developed all of these but I definitely still want to grow in the public speaking aspect and also using my resources on campus.
I think today’s class was disappointing only because I didn’t get the project I wanted but on the other hand it opened up my eyes to how competitive the real business world can be. Also it was helpful because it taught me more about pitches and the difference between a good one and a bad one. I don’t have anymore questions but I will probably have some once the projects start.
