Hi! My name is Marena Lear and I am a first year PhD student in Comparative Literature at the University of Oregon. My interests include Cinema studies, Latin American literature, contemporary poetry & poetics, women and gender studies, and new media studies. This blog was created in November 2018 for a class called “Digital Cultures,” and its purpose is to increase my own digital literacy, and create a public space for posting thoughts about literary studies in the context of the transformation introduced by the use of Internet and digital technologies in our cultural, personal and social identity.
