My leading style will both help drive the group as well as balance out the differences in our group. In the future I believe that my leading style will have a positive influence on our group in the long run. With our group being diverse, will probably negatively affect us. With this being said we may have trouble staying on track. The fact that our group is without a frontrunner, means we are going to have to work harder to be more out going and need to put our own personal leading styles aside. Though this being our downside, in the long run this situation will help us become more rounded in our leadership skills.

Post class Evaluation 1/24/14
In class I was categorized as a contemplative and evaluative, leading style. Meaning before I start something I need to make decisions most commonly in the form of lists. I was surprised that while leading I use this style the majority of the time. The biggest reason why I‘m refuting these findings is because I don’t play by the book. I take every situation differently, making it crucial to have characteristics that over lap between the four different leading styles.
Overall I believe this exercise was very beneficial. When working in groups, just like in the business school and not the mention the real world, it is important to have various different individuals that bring their own ideas and thought. And not to mention leading styles.
Blog post #1: What I get out of BBL.
- From this one term class I hope to gain connections and meaningful relationships in the business and marketing field. I am also trying to learn how to better market my self to future employers. I also hope to gain help and support throughout my time in the business program.
- I am looking forward to meeting others that have similar backgrounds to me but also others that differ from mine. I also hope to fully figure out what I want to do as a future career.
- I have very minimal concerns. One of the only concerns I have is, do I need to go through the business school, which requires the need to take upper level math (personally something i am not very good at), or could I take business courses and major in some other field?
