Overview:

In this episode we talk to Ixchel Verdugo (she/her/ella), the Multicultural Academic Counselor & Latine/Chicane Retention Specialist in the Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence (CMAE). She talks about the many services that the CMAE provides, such as academic advising, tutoring services, the CMAE Scholars Program, the Textbook/Resource Pond, and the different Cultural Study Halls. Ixchel also gives our incoming students some tips and tricks to keep in mind as they begin their first term at the University of Oregon. In this episode you will also be introduced to the new Look No Feather Podcast co-host, Mariah Deguzman, one of the Academic Advisors in the College of Education (check out her bio below).
