Week 10

As the term is coming to an end, I have discovered so many distractions that has either really inspired me to achieve great things. I also discovered that my distractions can be really dangerous monetary wise because when I am inspired to do something I feel like I can do it. For example, when I go on instagram, I basically only follow beauty, fashion, and some friends as well. Because I follow so many fashion blogs, I just want to buy EVERYTHING! It is kind of annoying that our mind wanders and that it causes a distraction. I also find a positive perspective of our wandering minds. The fact that our mind wanders it brings out the creativity in us and it gives us some sort of inspiration. I also think that distractions are really negative because when you are distracted it takes a lot of will power for someone to snapback into their task or just to snapback right into “focus mode”. Distractions can really take a lot of time out of our day and it is unfortunate that we do not have enough time in the day for us to finish everything we want to fulfill without distractions coming into play in our lives. My distraction this week is summer school. Yes, summer school! I am attending school here and I am also attending a university in Hawaii. My summer schooling has been distracting me so much that I totally forgot about finals (or maybe I am trying to avoid finals at all costs). I am so worried about getting good grades in my summer school classes, that I totally forgot that I also need good grades here at University of Oregon. That alone is a distraction; if it’s not one school it’s the other. Because I am so worried and distracted of all my task and tests that are coming up I tend to forget about myself and what I mean by that I mean my stress. Being stressed is one of the worst possible things that a human being has to go through DAILY. But Sometimes all we need to do is to take a couple of minutes and remind ourselves that everything is going to be okay.
