About Me

Laura Groshans

When Oregon native Laura Groshans is not in the Journalism school, she can be found hiking, kayaking, and enjoying long walks on the beach. Groshans spent time living in Grand Teton National park and gained experience rafting the Snake river. In Oregon she has rafted and kayaked several rivers including the Willamette, the Rogue, the Deschutes, and the McKenzie. Due to her natural draw toward moving water and adrenaline based sports, Groshans decided to further investigate external factors that impact the river system in Eugene. These external factors include agricultural runoff, river floaters, invasive species and climate change.
