It is quite obvious that copyright benefits the RO culture, but is there any evidence that it helps the RW culture as well? Since RO culture seems to be the one on top, who controls most of what goes on in our society, what does that leave the RW culture with? To me RW culture seems more inclusive and open minded, willing to listen to all sorts of ideas, where as RO culture has a set idea of what is right and what is wrong. I would want a culture that is willing to listen to new opinions to be the one with the most say it what goes on.
I liked how you took a stance on what culture you prefer. I agree that I too would also want a culture that is willing to listen to new opinions and new ideas. I think that our current culture is evolving to use things such as the internet to be creative and inventive in a new way. New ideas and opinions are shared much faster. We are moving into a new era where remixing is a new and common way to become creative and listen to new opinions.
