Andre Abel is a freshman at the University of Oregon who just recently join the ROTC program. He is still adjusting to his new home at the university along with the increased work load as a student and a new cadet in the ROTC program.
ROTC holds leadership labs each Thursday for the members involved in the program. Thursday, October 26th, they had a paint-balling game against each other. As both teams run quickly to claim their bases, refs follow closely behind in bright orange and yellow vests to avoid getting shot at.

Andre loves being involved in a program with such an amazing community. In addition, he loves participating in every ROTC activity. Here, he is staying low and protecting himself from the opposing team, while also preparing to hit his targets.
Leadership labs vary each week, giving the members a variety of opportunities to show their leadership skills. After getting nailed by an orange paintball, Andre is holding his paint-ball gun in ready position with the safety lock on.
Andre loves getting to know and work with new people each week. Here, Andre walked up to opposing teammate to tell her great game.
