In the article written by Jones it speaks upon thecnology and computer graphics.  I found that the thesis in this article was that “Selected examples of earlier and contemporary computer images , objects, events and environments are examined to show reliance on previous forms and to present evolving possibilities in harmony with larger cultural and historical patteerns. (Jones 21). Here we see what the article is going to touch on which is the use of old and new ways to create new ideas for graphic design.

One example of a historical way that was used is  the seven-man system (Jones 23). The seven man system was a way to create multiple components in a graphic design. The use for this seven man design was to create a nomically efficient cockpit for the U.S Air Force. They worked on differenent tactics like landing stimulations and what not. It was the beginning of what would help us develop a future.

Today I can use Jones’ thesis and use it into today’s society. By combining what we have done in the past we use what has work in the future to create something that will be beneficial for us. We  can look at many factors that derive from Jones’ article and that reflect on what we see today. Tying this back to the TedTalk we can relate it to video games. Video games have come a far way since the early 2000s. Now I notice that it almost looks like actual people in these games like Grand Theft Auto. Computer graphics have come such a long way. What we have learned from the past has greatly helped us today. As Jone says it shows us reliance on previous and also present posibilities that can reach out to a larger cultural.  I can look at most of technology and see that the past of computer graphics show. Another example is Iphone games just like video games we see the intense success of computer graphics.

These graphics will continue to get better and better as time progresses. Computer graphics will only get better and more interactiveas time goes on.
