About Me
I am a junior transfer student majoring in Journalism at the University of Oregon. Prior to my transfer, I studied abroad in Rome, Italy. While residing there for four months, I studied marketing and media. I was also fortunate to be mentored by Sean Patrick-Lovett, the Director of Vatican Radio. During this opportunity, I experienced firsthand how a radio and television station operated, while receiving insight into the duties involved in the field of public relations. I also collaborated with my hometown’s ABC news station to offer live updates during the Pope’s resignation. Due to this experience, I developed an interest in pursuing the fields of public relations and journalism, which prompted me to transfer to the University of Oregon the following semester.
Growing up doing theater, I always enjoyed entertaining people. Through this love of performance I developed quirks, such as hula hooping, to capture the attention of others while also expressing my own personality. I hope to merge together the knowledge and maturity gained from my unique experiences abroad with my natural child-like personality in order to be successful in the field of journalism.
