Hello, everyone. I am Ying. I am a junior at UO. My major is Mathematics and Japanese is my minor. The reason why I chose this class is this is the required class of my minor. I took the Linguistic 150 last school year and have some basic knowledge about it. Besides that, I need the credits of this class because I found in this fall term, there are only 14 credits that I could get for my major and minor.

I learned Japanese because I am interested in Japanese animation and manga. I still remember when I was in middle school, I waited for the subtitle translation groups for watching the latest episode. In fact, the original one which in Japanese has been ended, but the translated one was only in the half. In order to watch them as fast as possible, I tried to watch the original one. However, It is hard to understand and there would be some scenes that made me confused. So, I began to learn Japanese in high school and continue learning at UO.

I love to read novels or playing some games in my spare time. Sometimes, I will log in to the Pixiv and read some fanfiction whose author is from Japan. Now, I also have tried to write some fanfiction in some APP in China.
