This artifact demonstrates the following objectives:
- Become familiar with ways in which spirituality influences artists
- Examine spirituality as a generative force and a well spring for creativity
This is an image of me practicing my own spirituality.
In this artifact, I comment on a video we watched for class. The video showed various artists participating in their work and explaining how they feel about it. The fluidity in their work and the nature that they have for it makes it spiritual for them, like yoga is for me.
One way spirituality is influences art is through connectivity. Many people in the video feel attached to their art; they have to do it in order to be happy and complete. They find their work to be spiritual and necessary to their existence. For this artifact, I gained an understanding of how spirituality influences art.
This artifact also demonstrates how spirituality can be a generative force and a well spring for creativity. Their lives are infused by their spiritual needs. It gives them a meaning to live, as well as many other people. It is the key to their creativity.

In the future I hope to explore how my own spirituality can help me become a more patient, aware person, as well as how it can influence my creativity.
