An important aspect of the Bike Program is that all mechanics are highly skilled and are always available to help students repair and maintain their bicycles.

At the University of Oregon, the Bike Program is located in the Erb Memorial Union and is apart of the Outdoor Program. There, you will find a a selection of bikes, lessons, and free maintenance for U of O students. Mechanics are on hand Monday through Friday from 12-5pm.
Sophomore Cat Perkins-Auch dedicates her free time at the University of Oregon as a mechanic for the Bike Program. When she works on a student’s bike, she is highly skilled, focused, and gets the job done quickly.
Throughout Cat’s 12-5 shift, she relies on her expertise to make sure every customer is satisfied with the job she performs. As a mechanic, her days consist of analyzing, repairing, helping, and conversing with other workers and customers when they stop by the Bike Program.
Cat does not mind getting her hands dirty and her attention to detail allows her to repair most anything that has to do with bikes.
At the Bike Program, Cat is one of the most skilled mechanics. Even though she is new, her role consists of being a mentor. Here she is seen assisting and advising her coworker. Her hands on teaching skills are very beneficial for the other mechanics that work with her.
