I am a journalism student with a focus in multimedia at the University of Oregon, born and bred in the city of Eugene. For several years I have worked in the School of Journalism & Communication’s technical services office, and am proficient with Final Cut Pro X, Photoshop, InDesign and many other programs. My current goals are to hone my visual communication skills and produce material that is professional in both content and quality. I believe that the most effective storytelling pieces convey a message naturally, providing viewers with a subtly immersive experience that allows them to momentarily forget they’re staring at a screen. The reward is when the combined efforts of my writing, photography and videography cause viewers to feel as if they are experiencing a story rather than simply watching one.

I’m a junior at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism with a focus in Public Relations. This is my first year living on the west coast. I’m originally from a small farm town in Illinois. I am proficient with Final Cut Pro X, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Fitness and nutrition is something that I am passionate about, therefore working for a company in that field would be preferred post graduation. I also have event planning experience and would love to have that in a future career as well.

I am a sophomore at the University of Oregon, originally from San Carlos, California. I am majoring in public relations and minoring business; hoping to practice corporate PR. My interest for PR came from my joy of helping others pursue their personal goals. My dad always tells me, “There are many good and bad things out there; before you leave this place try to make the bad things good and the good things better.” Living by these words, I try the best I can to be a support system for anyone in need. I’m a member of University of Oregon chapter of PRSSA. The experience I had thus far in PR, is my involvement in Envision Magazine, which is a campus magazine that helps promote environmental sustainability. I was part of the PR associate team; I helped promote the magazine through different media channels such as twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. I also helped plan events, such as some social mixers on campus; we set venues, and have activities like photo booths during our big events. Through the Gateway series, at the UO, I have learned to work with Final Cut Pro X, Photoshop, InDesign, and practiced conducting formal interviews.
