• Become acquainted with copyright as a historic, cultural and economic paradigm and its value and pertinence to creative works.

• Examine your own and others values and paradigms of ownership and authorship of cultural media.

Reflection: This was a unique assignment. I appreciated the chance to “visualize” what it would be like to be an artist. I was actually able to envision myself being an actual artist. I was able to pick and choose what I thought it meant to be an artist. There were a number of things that I thought was relevant in an artists character. Creating the collage provided a chance for me to be my own artist. Using Google Picasso, I was able to create a collage and enhance it with various elements of the collage. I positioned and placed emphasis on the size of each picture in relation to importance.

The basic characteristics of an artist that I chose were being creative, passionate, and patient. I also believe that artists should be persistent and detailed. An artist, a true artist, will not be satisfied with their work until they have completed each detail that they deem necessary as part of the artwork. This detail and persistence is necessary in becoming an artist.

Future:

This assignment will be helpful in analyzing art in the future. The characteristics that I chose for my collage are all characteristics that certain artists hold. Artists come in all different forms and I believe that these characteristics are applicable to all types of artists.
