“I’m actually extremely thankful to be here tonight, because I had a near-death experience a few weeks ago. I got stopped by one of those people on the corner with a clipboard. And for anyone who is in that situation, they feel a lot of panic and don’t know what to do. But, I made eye-contact and I was screwed.”

“One of my friends who I knew who does stand-up comedy, I asked him if there were any shows that were coming up and he told me he was in a competition in a few weeks in the future and he suggested that I join up. So I went ahead and I signed up, and the first round was just 3-5 minutes and I basically went up there and tried to be funny and got on to the next round. I didn’t make it to the final round but after that I –through the competition- met a bunch of people who are in the U.O. Stand-Up Society, which is a group who meets once a week and share ideas for stand-up comedy and critique it. So I met up with those guys and I’ve been meeting up with them ever since.”
