UO Blogs: Using WordPress for Dynamic ePortfolios and Interactive Learning Experiences

Description: Once you start to develop your teaching portfolio, you might consider creating a dynamic, online version of it for employers, colleagues, and students to access. In this session we will introduce you to UO Blogs as a multimedia ePortfolio platform for both faculty and students. We will discuss ways UO Blogs can be used for professional teaching portfolios and student learning portfolios.
Hybrid Courses: Blending Online with Face-to-Face Instruction

Description: Can the worlds of face-to-face and online teaching be brought together in one course? How can this blended learning experience create increased engagement for student learning? Participants in this workshop will work together to build working definitions of a hybrid course, learn the difference between a learning module and a learning object, identify pedagogies compatible with hybridization of courses, and explore the technologies that have been most successful.
