Creative Spirituality Reflection
Reflection:
In that week, I was truly able to know how spirituality can bring creativity and how spirituality influences artists. From the reading material, “The mission of art” by Grey, I achieved the objective and learn more about what a artist must go through in order to create a piece of work. In his article, he writes, “the goal is to reach a state of mind where art flows irresistibly through them, Finding that energetic and idiosyncratic foundation of creation, an art spirit, is the artist’s task” One must know that the creativity comes from deeply inside of artist’s heart. And if something could be considered to change the deeply inside of someone’s heart, that would be inner spirituality. Therefore, in other words, the spirituality helps artists to create.
Nevertheless, I still know about the relationship between spirituality and religion. Sometimes, they are similar; sometimes, they are different. In my opinion, spirituality and religion affects each other. However, spirituality is not like religion. Because I believe that spirituality is one thing that is untouchable. However, there are something that is related to religion in real world, such as the Holy Bible, and Jesus. Personally speaking, comparing with spirituality and religion, religion is more important for human beings. Because religion is to believing something, and spirituality is to use what we believe to create something.
Future:
I will keep looking for my spirituality, although I don’t have a religion at all. However, I think I am always believing something. I need to find it out as well. I think there are two things that can restrict one’s action. One is religion, the other one is law.
