Syngnathid Themed Outreach!
During my dissertation, I have enjoyed hosting numerous outreach events focused on syngnathids. I have hosted 2 years of Girls Science Adventure Days Activities through the Eugene Science Center, 1 activity with UO’s Mad Duck program, and 1 activity at Adam’s Elementary School. In these events, I planned several different syngnathid themed activities: fish room tours, examination of syngnathid x-ray scans, build-a-brood pouch, and investigation of syngnathid ecology. I love participating and running outreach activities and hope to continue to do them in the future!
