James is a family gerontologist and human developmentalist interested in understanding how individual and social resources contribute to health disparities among marginalized older adults. He earned his BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and Social Gerontology and MS in Social Gerontology from Miami University. His Human Development and Family Science PhD training was at the University of Georgia. James also received postdoctoral training at the Virginia Tech’s Aging Institute before joining the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services at the University of Oregon in 2019.

Peter P. Ehlinger (he/him)
Peter is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oregon. His research focuses on developing culturally-sensitive interventions for trauma, alcohol, and substance use with a focus on trans and gender-nonconforming folks. Peter also works clinically at a Eugene-based group practice and the Portland VA Medical Center.
Aubrey Green
Aubrey is a first-generation student pursuing her PhD in Prevention Science at the University of Oregon. Her research interests include social capital, the development of prosocial behaviors, community resilience and mental health across the lifespan. Aubrey is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to research being conducted at the University of Oregon and within the Healthy Aging Lab under the supervision of Dr. James Muruthi
Giovanna Delgadillo
Giovanna is an undergraduate senior year at the University of Oregon, majoring in biological anthropology. She joined this lab to gain more experience and feels she is lucky work with a fantastic team of people. She is hoping to go on to get her MPH in epidemiology and as that is where a lot of her research interests lie. Giovanna is very interested in public health and gaining a better understanding of our illnesses and other factors that impact health ranging from community level to a national level.
Carly Wyatt
Carly Wyatt an undergraduate junior majoring in Human Physiology. She is originally from Hood River Oregon, and she has occupational therapy aspirations. Outside of academics, Carly is the president of the UO Pre-Physical/Occupational therapy Club, and she enjoys singing for University ensembles.

Di Yang is an undergraduate junior at University of Oregon majoring at Education Foundation. His interests include providing special education for children with disabilities and the world history-especially the Ancient Asia History. In spare time, Di likes making some traditional Chinese food and talking with friends about video games.
