PDF Letter of Interest Guidelines
CSWS is soliciting letters of interest for Research Interest Group (RIG) innovation funding for 2016-17 (the maximum amount that can be requested is $4,500.00). CSWS will use these letters of interest to select finalists, who will be invited to submit full proposals. Finalists will be notified before spring break if a full proposal will be solicited. The deadline for full proposals is Monday, April 18, 2016. Full guidelines will be sent to finalists.
Since 1995, CSWS has committed significant funding and staff time to its research interest groups (RIGs). RIGs have organized conferences, symposia, workshops, and other events. They have worked on collaborative research projects and been innovators in online publishing. Some RIGs generated special projects and programs and centers. You can read a brief review of the history of RIGs in the 2014 Annual Review.
CSWS is soliciting letters of interest for RIG innovation funding for 2016-17 (the maximum amount that can be requested is $4,500.00). CSWS RIGs are comprised of University of Oregon scholars who come together around a shared project, vision, or program that relates to CSWS’s mission to create and disseminate research that addresses gender and its intersections with race, ethnicities, sexualities, class, abilities, and other aspects of identities. Past RIGs have used CSWS funding to support collaborative research, reading groups, conferences, grant proposals, and events. The projects can be scholarly, community-based, curricular, or institutional in nature, but they must focus on gender, have a significant scholarly and/or research and/or creative component; be interdisciplinary; contribute to the diversity goals of UO; and be comprised of faculty, graduate students, and where feasible, staff.
CSWS will use these letters of interest to select finalists, who will be invited to submit full proposals. Finalists will be notified before spring break if a full proposal will be solicited. The deadline for full proposals is Monday, April 18, 2016. Full guidelines will be sent to finalists.
