Snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding have become increasingly popular among youth and teens across America. Snow sports are often grouped in with the adventure and extreme categories and like any sport, participation does have its risks. However, childhood and adolescent involvement in snow sports has many positives. From the time a child can balance on the snow to the age of 18, America’s youth benefits by gaining confidence, getting active outdoors and developing essential motor and sensory skills.
