Zoe Steeler is an undergraduate Folklore student born and raised in Eugene, OR. Zoe’s research interests include fan culture, foodways, and myth. She became a folklore major because she loves interacting with people and hearing their stories; she enjoys trying to understand why people do the things they do. Through her time as a folklore student, she has had increasing opportunities for fieldwork. Zoe has a passion for cooking and trying out new recipes, and she especially loves to share her creations. Before coming to the OFN, Zoe spent time as a high school tutor; she believes education is a fundamental right and wants to help promote it in any way she can. After she finishes her degree, she plans to attend graduate school in Folklore
