Business Administration 199 Final Project Essay

After reading the syllabus on the first day in class, I thought that these were simple goals that people already know, but I was wrong. When the class got more in depth with the opportunities and strategies that the school provided here at the University of Oregon, I realized that there are many ways to help you proceed into the career you desire, especially the tutoring center at Braddock and the internships for young business students such as myself. Overall what Ive learned the most about this class, was that these goals can be achieve just by using the many different resources that the school has to provide in order to have a successful pathway.

So much has change right after I wrote my first blog in Business Administration 199. At first I wanted to focus on sports marketing as my potential career, but when I started going to the lectures in BA 199 Ive learned that there are more open doors and opportunities than just sports marketing. During the lectures Ive learned that accounting is the most successful pathway to take when following the business road, because accounting can help you get jobs or internships in any sort of position. After hearing about that, Ive decided to take accounting as my major.
Also in my blog, I wrote leadership is a vital role when majoring in business. Although leadership is an important role in the business are, I’ve also learned the value of teamwork and relaying to one another. When we were assigned to do the business project in groups, we relay on each other to come up with ideas to make our business project a success. So want I trying to get at is that teamwork is also a valuable thing to have, wether you own a company, or part of a larger company.

My future goal is to take an international internship to Korea and work there for a couple years. In order for my goal to be a reality, I am right now taking Korean 101 and beyond to a 300 level, because I want to be fluent with the language so I can communicate over there Also I’m trying to look for some international student transfer to one of the Korean Schools and study accounting there. My goals for next term is to get an A in all my language course, so that way I get better on the language. Another thing is talking to professor more during office hours. Lastly study more often than messing around, because it can lead to dire consequences on the long run. Overall this was a well worth class. I am glad to learn the many opportunities that this class shows and resources needed to have a successful career.
