When cutting open the cooked turkey, it is normal to have two different colors of meat come out. Dark and white, it is the amount of protein the meat has that causes it to change to a dark or a white color. My grandfather told me that when he was a little kid and his family celebrated Thanksgiving, his mother was the only one in the house who would eat the white meat as it was looked at as limited.
