Thanksgiving for my grandparents is a very special time where they get to use there skills in cooking every unique dish which has been passed down the family tree. It is the responsibility and right of my grandpa, every year, that he is in charge of cooking the turkey. However, in the past this has usually been done in the oven, this year he slow cooked it on the grill to enhance and bring out the flavors. I take pride in both of my Grandparents for working so hard every year to make sure Thanksgiving is done right.
When interviewing my grandpa I asked him, what are some of your traditional Thanksgiving roles? He said
1. Make cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie
2. Make squash and cook turkey
3. Chief planner and say blessing
