* School Psychology Join our Cadre of School Psychology Cooperating Professionals Annually the COE places 25+ graduate school psychology students in school-based settings with licensed field supervisors in Eugene and Portland campus areas. District supervisors are important clinical training partners, sharing their knowledge of schools as complex systems. Supervisors mentor practicum clinicians through individualized assessments, consultation cases, data-based decision-making, collaboration, and intervention development and support. SPSY Field Placement: Terms: 10-week Fall, Winter, & Spring (typically September – June) Practicum students are placed in a supervised practicum field experience (approximately 9 hours a week for three 10-week terms, 360 hours total). District supervisor mentors provide opportunities for school psychology students to develop skills across National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Practice Model domains and gradually take on responsibilities with service delivery and case management. Mentors help practicum students gain experience with special education evaluation, academic/cognitive and behavioral/mental health consultation casework.
