One of the biggest criticisms I got from my review was that I have a lot of good ideas but they aren’t flowing together into a larger overarching idea for the project. I think some of this is due to my communication of ideas during presentation, and the fact that my reviewer didn’t really understand our process for how we were approaching the project, top-down and then bottom-up. I do agree with him however that I need to focus in on one idea and make this project a vision of that idea and then figure out how these other ideas could help strengthen the overall vision and support and connect with the systems already in place.
I want to focus on creating a sustainable community in the sense that I want this future system to think about sustainability from the aspect of:
The natural environment, The Economy, and Society in order to form a lasting Architecture. By doing this I can create a place that is dense with stores, people, and culture. In a sense creating a Hub of gathering and community that can create a great place that people want to be for years to come.
