Fall 2013
AAD 631 Research Proposal Design
Instructors: Lori Hager & Patricia Dewey
This course is designed to provide an overview of strategies and approaches to research design in arts administration and to assist students in developing their proposals for a terminal master’s thesis, project, or capstone. In this course, students are also provided introductory information for the guided field-based professional project planned for 2013-2014. By early November 2013, students will commit to pursue either an individual research track or the group professional project track for the remainder of the academic year.
All students in this course will develop concepts, strategies, and approaches for designing and conducting valid and reliable research. Students selecting to complete the guided field-based professional project in winter and spring terms will also begin to develop project management and consultancy skills in this course. Outcomes of the course will vary for students, depending on the track they are selecting for completing their terminal master’s research requirement for the Arts and Administration Program.
