Practicum Host Site: Story Catchers LLC
Story Catchers was born out of a desire to honor the power and beauty of story in revealing our common humanity, and the importance of preserving and passing on the wisdom we all hold. In honor of Eugene’s 150th birthday celebration, Story Catchers partnered with the City of Eugene to offer 150 Eugene residents the opportunity to record and preserve their stories, memories, and reflections.
Position Description
The purpose of this practicum is to further the Story Catchers’ project on Eugene @ 150 by working with the library to index the stories and editing the stories for radio or podcast use.
Goals
1) Serve a liaison between Marsha Barr, President of Story Catchers, and the Eugene Public Library on indexing project
2) Edit 2-3 stories by the end of Week 10 for radio or podcast use
3) Start conversation with KLCC or KEZI radio stations about broadcasting stories
