Radio Editing & Broadcasting Story Catchers

Story Catchers was born out of a desire to honor the power and beauty of story in revealing our common humanity, and the importance of preserving and passing on the wisdom we all hold. In honor of Eugene’s 150th birthday celebration, Story Catchers partnered with the City of Eugene to offer 150 Eugene residents the opportunity to record and preserve their stories, memories, and reflections.

Position Description

The purpose of this practicum is to further the Story Catchers project on Eugene 150 by working with the City of Eugene and KLCC to broadcast edited versions of the interviews.

Goals

1) Obtain proper release for broadcast of Story Catcher interviews

2) Edit interviews for radio broadcast once a month on NPR’s Here & Now for KLCC radio

3) Update Story Catchers website to feature radio broadcast stories
