Fall Community Arts Think Tank – a colloquia series in support of deepening research in the community arts fields. Scroll down to see what students are thinking about right now.
This instructional blog will serve as the primary communication hub for students, convener, and visiting scholar artists, as well as an aggregator of resources around topics considered in the colloquia.
Together, colloquia participants will explore resources, research, and projects around the central topics of the series and consider emergent issues, which include
- cultural entrepeneurship
- international community arts
- conflict management
- career pathways
- state and federal policies
- national trends
- future implications
It hoped that outcomes of the series will include:
- A set of action items, or call to action
- A statement which captures implications for the future of the field and practices
- A compilation of resources around topical areas
- Building a community of learners
Lori Hager, faculty in the Arts and Administration Program, will serve as convener. Colloquia participants include graduate students from Arts and Administration and International Studies. See their brief bios here
